Dear Minister Abbott:
The British Columbia “Therapeutics Initiative” has been for years a model for the world. We follow its reports. We use its materials. This body provides rational and objective drug information and its recommendations help in the best use of medications. The Therapeutics Initiative is for us an independent source of information, extremely useful.
It is hard to understand that the Government supports the Pharmaceutical Task Force inform which recommended abolishing the British Columbia Therapeutics Initiative. Established in 1994 to provide physicians and pharmacist with up-to-date, evidence-based, practical information on rational drug therapy, the initiative works with a mixture of simplicity, science, reviews, and education.
Because the importance of the Therapeutics Initiative not only in Canada, but all over the world, we are asking you to retain and strengthen it.Sincerely
